KCYL( Knanaya Community Youth Leuage) മെൽബണ് നമ്മുടെ പിതാക്കൻമാർക്കു അയച്ച കത്ത് അവരുടെ ആവശ്യപ്രകാരം ഇവിടുത്തെ ക്നാനായക്കാരുടെ അറിവിലേക്കായി താഴെ ചേർക്കുകയാണ്. KCYL പ്രസിഡൻറ്റ് മിഷൻ കൗണ്സിൽ പ്രതിനിധി എന്നത് പൊതുയോഗ തിരുമാനം ആണ്. എന്നാൽ ഇന്നലെ നടന്ന മിഷൻ കൗണ്സിൽ മീറ്റിംഗിൽ പുതുതായി തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെട്ട KCYL പ്രസിഡന്റ്റിനെ ഷണിച്ചില്ല എന്ന് മാത്രമല്ല അതിൽ പങ്കെടുക്കാൻ വന്ന അദ്ധേഹത്തെ യോഗത്തിൽ നിന്നും ഇറക്കി വിടുകയും ചെയ്തു. ഇതു തികച്ചുo അപലപനീയവും സാമാനിയ മര്യയാദയ്ക്കു നിരക്കാത്തതുമാണ്. കണ്ടാരപ്പള്ളി അച്ഛനും തോമസ് കുംബുങ്കൽ അച്ഛനുംഏതാനുംചില മിഷൻ കൗണ്സിൽ അംഗങ്ങളും ചേർന്നു ഇന്നലെ അപമാനിച്ചിറക്കിവിട്ടതു വെറുമൊരു വ്യക്തിയെ അല്ല മറിച്ചു മെൽബണിലെ മുഴുവൻ ക്നാനായ യുവജനങ്ങളുടെയുo പ്രതിനിധിയെയാണ് എന്ന കാര്യo നാം ഗൗരവത്തോടെ കാണണം.

ഇതിലുപരി മറ്റൊരു യുവജന സംഘടന രൂപികരിക്കാൻ അടുത്ത വെള്ളിയാഴ്ച CLAYTON- ൽ ഒരു യുവജനയോഗം വിളിച്ചു ചേർത്തിരിക്കുന്നതു എന്തിനു വേണ്ടിയാണ്. നല്ല രീതിയിൽ പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്ന ഒരു യുവജന സംഘടന ഉള്ളപ്പോൾ മറ്റൊരു യുവജന സംഘടനയുടെ ആവശ്യo എന്താണ്.വളരെ സ്നേഹത്തിലും ഐക്യത്തിലും കഴിയുന്ന നമ്മുടെ യുവതി യുവാക്കളിലേക്ക് വിഭാഗിയതയുടെ വിത്തുകൾ പാകുന്നത് ആരുടെ സ്വാർത്ഥ താല്പര്യങ്ങൾക്ക് വേണ്ടിയാണ്?.ചെമ്മരിയാടുകളെ കൂട്ടി ഇടുപ്പിച്ചു ചോര കുടിക്കാൻ ആർത്തി പൂണ്ടിരിക്കുന്ന കുറുക്കന്ടെ കൗശല ബുദ്ധി മനസ്സിലാക്കുവാൻ പതിമൂന്നു വർഷത്തെ സെമിനാരി ജിവിതത്തിന്റ്റെ ഒന്നും ആവശ്യമില്ല. മറിച്ച് സാമാന്യ ബുദ്ധിയുള്ള ആർക്കും ഊഹിക്കാവുന്നതെ ഉള്ളൂ.

ജർമ്മൻ പാതിരിയായിരുന്ന പാസ്റ്റർ നിമോയ്ണറുടെ വാക്കുകൾ പ്രസക്തമാകുന്നത് ഇവിടെയാണ്. KCYL കമ്മിറ്റി എടുക്കുന്ന തീരുമാനങ്ങൾക്ക് നാം ഓരോരുത്തരും നല്കുന്ന പിന്തുണ വളരെ വിലപ്പെട്ടതാണ് എന്ന് ഓർമ്മിപ്പിച്ചു കൊണ്ടും അവർ പിതാക്കൻമാർക്കു അയച്ച കത്ത് പൂർണ്ണമായും വായിക്കണമെന്നു അഭ്യയർത്തിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുനിർത്തുന്നു. As you may know, a lot of problems revolving around MISSION and KCVA is happening in our community. Things are getting worse day by day regarding various issues like the signature campaigning, email send to Bishop and several other as-well. Every day one or the other issue arises and the situation always gets worse no matter how much we all wish and hope to resolve them. I believe this is the right time for us, the KCYL to act immediately and show our concern regarding the misfortunes happening in our community. I would like to indicate a few points which may in-fact give you an overall view of whats happening in our community and the way it is affecting the YOUTH as-well. 1. As usual, we had our Annual KCYL camp this year which took place during the month of JULY. This is one of the most important as well as exciting event for us. We, the youth always look forward for this event to happen because it helps to : a) Get to know new people and youth in our community b) Strengthen the BOND between us c) Develop the Leadership quality in us as a result of various classes conducted d) Identify the talents among us e) Last and final, have lots of FUN This year, we comparatively had a lesser amount of youth who attended the camp and two of these factors were the main reason: Few of the young people didn't show up as they are in YEAR 12 and they have their Final Exams this year. This occurs every year and we do expect a few kids to miss out the camp. The conflict between the KCVA and MISSION was one major factor which affected the Total strength of the camp. The camp was obviously a huge success and I do appreciate the Ex-Committee for conducting a well coordinated camp. An annual General Body meeting was held and a new KCYL Committee was formed during this camp. One major event that took place was the amendment of a BY-LAW for the KCYL Melbourne prior to the election which was developed and presented by the Ex-Committee. 2. Two weeks after the camp, the New KCYL Committee decided to conduct an executive committee meeting. As a result, The Secretary, invited all the executive committee members to which Fr.Stephen Kandarapally initially said YES to the meeting and it was due to his requirement, the meeting was decided to be held on Sunday, 12th JULY 2015. Two days prior to the meeting, Fr.Stephen wanted us to call Fr.Thomas Kumbuckal to the meeting and reason stated by Fr.Stephen was that Fr.Thomas Kumbuckal is the Spiritual Advisor of KCYL Melbourne and not himself. I explained to him the actual fact and said that the BY-Law states the KCVA Chaplain is the Spiritual Advisor of KCYL Melbourne. We had two emails exchanged between KCYL and Fr.Stephen. NOTE : We do respect the decision of Mar.Mathew Moolakkattu when you appointed Fr.Thomas Kumbuckal as the Spiritual Director of Australia and New-Zealand youth. Keeping this in mind, I would like to bring something to your notification. We do have our Forane level KCYL Chaplain, Archdiocese KCYL Champlain and a local KCYL unit Chaplain in the Kottayam Archdiocese. The local parish vicar is the KCYL Chaplain of that particular KCYL unit. We are adopting the same structure here as-well. Fr.Stephen is the KCVA and MISSION Chaplain and hence he is the Spiritual Advisor of our local KCYL Melbourne and Fr.Thomas Kumbuckal is the Spiritual Director of Australia and New-Zealand as appointed by you. 3. A Parish Council meeting was conducted on the 20th of July, Monday and I came to know that I was the only one excluded form the meeting. I didn't receive an Invitation from the Parish Council. I was disappointed but then thought it should have been an unknown mistake as they might not be having the Contact Details ( Email ID ) of the newly elected KCYL Committee members. Hence, I send an email to Fr.Stephen Kandarapally letting him know that they missed me out form the invitation. I didn't get a reply from him. Well, I went to the meeting even though I wasn't invited for it as I believe that it is the right of we, The KCYL Melbourne to know whats happening in our community and it is the GENERAL BODY that decided that the KCYL President is a member of the Parish Council. Being unsure about the situation I asked suggestion from the ex-President of KCYL and he confirmed me that he was a part of the Parish Council and was invited for all the meetings. This apparently gave me the confident and configuration for me to attend the meeting. I would like to express my immense disappointment as I was treated in a Dis-satisfactory and Poor manner. Prior to the commencement of the meeting itself, Fr.Stephen Kandarapally and the Parish council members asked me to Leave the venue and Go away as I am not a part of the Parish council. The reason they said was that, ' I didn't invite Fr.Thomas Kumbuckal to the KCYL executive meeting.' > I was shocked to receive such sort of a reaction from the Parish Council. > I made my statement clear several times , stating that I am just a newly elected President and I can only follow the BY-LAW made by the EX-Committee and approved by the members during the camp. > They weren't even willing to hear anything and wanted me to leave immediately as they wouldn't start the Meeting unless and until I get out. > The Parish Council, in all Honesty didn't behave in a way they were supposed to. They insulted me several times and their only Priority was to Get me out of the Venue. With a down to earth attitude, I tried hard to calm myself even-though I was continuously being insulted and asked to Leave the place by the Parish Council Members except the KCYL Director and KCVA President being the same person and the KCVA Secretary. The Parish Council then proposed three CONDITIONS which I should agree and only after that they would allow me to participate in the meeting. They are as follows ; 1) Rename KCYL from Knanaya COMMUNITY youth league to Knanaya CATHOLIC youth league 2) Fr.Thomas Kumbuckal should be appointed as the KCYL Spiritual Advisor and it will be under his Supervision, the KCYL will be run. 3)Fr.Thomas Kumbuckal will decide and unanimously appoint the KCYL Director and KCYL Lady advisor. I partially agreed to the first and and the second one but told them that it is not just me who can take a decision. I have other committee members with me in the KCYL Committee and I can only take a decision after conducting a meeting with the executive committee. Furthermore, an Annual General Body meting should be held as the above conditions can only be approved by changing the BY-LAW. I was surprised and shocked to hear the third condition. I told a big NO then there itself and made my statement clear that, the KCYL Director and Lady advisor will be the same no matter whatever changes occur. I apologised to the whole Parish Council for not inviting Fr.Thomas Kumbuckal to the KCYL executive meeting and even made an Apology to Fr.Thomas Kumbuckal himself in front of all the Parish Council members. As expected they weren't satisfied and wanted me out of the meeting. They even told me that, as announced there will be a Youth meeting happening this Friday and the Parish Council will try to convince the youth what they should be doing and those who are willing , will be coming under them and a KNANAYA CATHOLIC YOUTH LEAGUE will be formed under KNANAYA MISSION. I was forcefully thrown out of the Parish council meeting in a rude and insulting manner. Being a human being, I do have my self esteem and rights. They actually did challenge the Right of the KCYL PRESIDENT to be in the Parish Council and even OVER RULED the DECISION made by the the POTHUYOGAM as it was the Pothuyogam that decided that the KCYL President is a member of the Parish Council. I believe, unless and until I want myself to leave the meeting whatever reason may that be, they do not have the right to ask me to leave the meeting. It is with extreme disappointment and sorrow I bring this incident into your notice. Dear Mar.Mathew Moolakkattu, We are the upcoming generation and the future Leaders of our Society and our beloved Community. It is in us that the future of our true KNANAYA Identity itself lies. Disrespecting us or manipulating our innocent youth is heartbreaking and sorrowful. Last day, one of our fellow KCYL member rang me and told me something. "Do you even remember the way we all used to be ? The bond we had between us ? The Trust we had towards each other ? and the UNITY amongst us ? What is happening to us ? Why is it that my Parents asked me not to go to the KCYL camp ? They even told me that we won't be going to the Onam Celebrations!!! When I asked them the reason, they told me it is because the KCVA is organising the onam programme !" I was surprised by this and the person literally went into tears after saying all these. The words above mentioned is a serious question we need to ask ourselves. Being the President of KCYL Melbourne, I would like to state a few facts. We are absolutely worried about what is happening in our community. People started asking each other, " Are you with KCVA or MISSION ?? " This is extremely devastating. A Family itself consists of two supporters. The elder one supporting KCVA and the younger one supporting MISSION. We have been silent about this issue for such a long time and we won't be the same . In fact we, the KCYL Melbourne as a whole would like to inform our worry about the misfortunes and conflicts in our community and we do need all these to be sorted out as soon as possible. Moreover, Please do not try to split us, the innocent young people of Melbourne. We do not want that.What we want is UNITY and as an old saying goes, IN UNION, WE HAVE STRENGTH. Pithave, We are all under one Umbrella and it is the true KNANAYA spirit that holds us all together, something about which we boasts to our fellow non-knanaya friends. PEOPLE OUTSIDE OUR COMMUNITY ITSELF STARTED TALKING NEGATIVE COMMENTS ABOUT US AND WE DO FEEL ASHAMED AND SAD ASWELL WHEN WE HEAR THESE. Misunderstandings do occur when simply just two people talk to each other, but we do need to keep aside our ego and sit together and resolve all the issues. A house divided amongst itself does not stand. Hence, I humbly request you PITHAVE, Please take initiative and solve the issues in our community. We believe in you. You are the one whom we all, especially the KCYL look up to. It is only you who can help us overcome these problems and give us back our most loving community where we all used to be happy, where we all used to greet each other with a happy face, where we didn’t have any sort of conflicts and ultimately a Community in which we were united because we all had that ROYAL BLOOD running inside us and a true KNANAYA spirit which we held together rather than divide based on MISSION and KCVA. We are the KCYL and we cannot be separated in interest or divided in purpose, we stand together until the End.
